AI Assistant: get your own free API key

The AI Assistant can use your own API key. That means the AI usage comes out of your own free quota, and your clinic keeps working even if the clinic owner changes provider keys.

You do not have to do anything. If you leave the key blank, your clinic quietly uses the clinic owner's key instead. Adding your own is entirely optional.

Groq — recommended, fast and generous free tier

  1. Open console.groq.com/keys and sign up (Google, GitHub or email — no card needed).
  2. Click Create API Key, give it a name like my clinic, and copy the key it shows. It starts with gsk_.
  3. Paste it into ⚙️ Settings → 🤖 AI Assistant → Your clinic's API key — groq, then press Save keys.

Google Gemini — a second opinion

  1. Open aistudio.google.com/app/apikey and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click Create API key and copy it (it starts with AIza).
  3. Paste it into Settings → AI Assistant → Your clinic's API key — gemini, then press Save keys.

After you save

If something looks wrong

About your patients: the assistant never sends names, addresses or phone numbers anywhere. It only ever sends de-identified details such as age, sex, symptoms and lab values.

Support knows this app inside out. Send the problem text plus, if you can, the support report file.

Tip: sign in first and, on a clinic computer, the "Generate support report" button appears here — it collects technical details automatically.
